When working from home, there are no more face to face meetings, no conversations around the office water cooler, and no more lunches or snacks in the break room with co-workers. Social interaction is an important part of your emotional well being. Some people may thrive on solitude, but even introverts can get lonely.     This will provide you with both valuable business contacts and social interaction.

  3. Make one day a week a family day.

    At least one day a week, spend a day with your family without working. Pick an activity that your children enjoy. Many people start a home-based business to spend more time with their family and then they end up doing the exact opposite and spend all their time working.

  4. Attend a conference specific to your industry.

    Hey you get to travel and write-off the expenses. You will also get to meet important people in your industry. What could be better than that?

  5. Go for a walk.

    Going for a walk will help you to feel more energized and happier. A little sunshine and fresh air always helps me feel better.

  6. Complete work tasks at a coffee shop or any other public place.

    If you feel like the walls are closing in when you’re working at home, gather your laptop and work somewhere else for the day. Then you will have other people and activity around you. The next day, you will be more likely to enjoy your solitude again.
